Instagram often blocks text selection on a caption, especially on a Reel. You do not need a screenshot or a second account. Copy the public link, then read the caption as plain text.
Copy the link from the post
Open the public post, Reel, or photo. Use the share menu and choose copy link. The URL should point at one piece of content, usually with `/p/` or `/reel/` in the path. A profile URL is not a caption.
Private accounts do not return a caption. Caption Copy does not ask you to log in.
Paste it on the Instagram tool
Open Instagram caption copy and paste the link. This page accepts Instagram links only, so a TikTok or YouTube URL is turned away with a short message.
Tap Get caption. The caption appears with hashtags kept in the text and also listed as chips.
Copy the text you want
Copy caption writes the full text, including emoji and line breaks. Copy hashtags writes only the tags, separated by spaces. Paste the result into your notes, or open the Caption Copy Android app if you want that text saved on the phone.
