What Caption Copy does

Caption Copy is a personal utility. You paste or share a public TikTok, Instagram, or YouTube link. We send that link to our caption helper so you can view and copy the caption, title, or description as plain text. On the website, the same helper returns that text in your browser. Saved captions in the Android app stay on your device.

Trademark and affiliation

Caption Copy is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, ByteDance, Meta, or Google. Those names are trademarks of their respective owners. Caption Copy does not log in to those services and does not download videos.

Information the app processes

Post links you submit are sent over HTTPS to our Cloudflare Worker so we can return a caption. The Worker may cache the response for about one hour to reduce upstream calls. We do not keep a database of captions beyond that short cache.

Saved captions, copy counts, and settings live only on your device (Room and DataStore).

Google AdMob may show ads, including native, interstitial, rewarded, and app-open ads, unless you buy the optional lifetime Remove ads purchase. Google’s advertising SDK and User Messaging Platform may process the Advertising ID, other device identifiers, approximate location (typically inferred from IP), diagnostics, and consent choices so ads can be requested and, where required, personalized.

If you buy Remove ads, Google Play Billing and RevenueCat process purchase history, the purchase token, Play account, and a RevenueCat app user id so we can unlock the Pro entitlement and restore it on this device. We do not receive your full card number.

Google Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics collect app interactions (screens opened, captions fetched or copied, ads, paywall, purchases, review and update prompts), crash logs, performance diagnostics, and device identifiers. This does not require a Google account. In the EEA, UK, and Switzerland they stay off until Google’s consent form is completed, and they stay off if you decline storage. You can change this later in Ad privacy choices when Google shows that option.

Information this website processes

When you paste a link into a tool, your browser sends that URL and a Cloudflare Turnstile token to our website Worker. We use the token to check that the request came from a person using the page. We use your IP address only to apply a short rate limit. Successful caption results may be stored in Cloudflare KV for up to 24 hours, keyed by the normalized public URL, so the same post is not fetched again immediately.

Cloudflare Web Analytics may count page views if a beacon token is configured. That product is designed to avoid cookies. We do not run a separate analytics account on the website beyond Cloudflare.

The site can show ads later through a reserved slot that is off by default. If ads are enabled, Google AdSense may set cookies and read an advertising identifier as described in Google’s policy. A consent notice is on the site now. Before personalized ads run, that notice is meant to be replaced by a Google-certified consent management platform.

A theme choice (light or dark) and your acceptance of the cookie notice are stored in local storage on your device. They are not sent to our server.

Google Play Data safety

This section matches the Data safety answers for Caption Copy on Google Play. Data is collected and shared with the third parties below. It is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). You can request deletion by emailing TQTechOfficial@gmail.com or by uninstalling the app to remove on-device data.

• Purchase history — collected and shared (Google Play Billing, RevenueCat) for app functionality and analytics. Optional: only if you buy Remove ads.
• Approximate location — collected and shared (AdMob) for advertising, analytics, and fraud prevention. Required for the free, ad-supported app.
• App interactions — collected and shared (Firebase Analytics, AdMob) for analytics, advertising, and fraud prevention. Required for the free app.
• Crash logs and diagnostics — collected and shared (Firebase Crashlytics, AdMob) for analytics. Diagnostics may also support advertising and fraud prevention. Required for the free app.
• Device or other identifiers, including Advertising ID — collected and shared (AdMob, UMP, Firebase, RevenueCat, Play Billing) for app functionality, analytics, advertising, and fraud prevention. Required for the free app.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not create an account. Ads and the Advertising ID apply to the free version. A lifetime purchase removes ads in the app.

Third parties

Cloudflare (Worker, KV, Turnstile, Web Analytics, and Pages hosting for the older privacy URL), Google (AdMob, the User Messaging Platform, Play Billing, Firebase Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics, and YouTube Data API for public video titles, descriptions, and tags), and RevenueCat (purchase entitlement). Each processes data under its own policy, limited to providing their service.

Your choices

Delete saved captions in the app history. Uninstall the app to remove on-device data. Use Ad privacy choices in the app settings when Google requires a consent form. Restore a lifetime purchase from the paywall if you reinstall. On the website, clear site data in your browser to remove the theme and consent values.
