A YouTube description sits under the video, and on a phone it is tucked behind a short preview. Copying a long description from that panel is clumsy. A public link is a cleaner path.
Copy a real video link
Use the share button and copy the link, or copy the address bar on desktop. `youtu.be` links, `watch?v=` links, and Shorts links all identify one video. A channel URL or a playlist URL is not enough.
One page for the description
Open YouTube title and description copy and paste the link. The description is shown on its own, separate from the title. A Shorts link is labeled as a Short so you can see which URL you used.
Copy the block you need
Copy description takes that text only, with line breaks kept. Copy title and Copy tags sit next to it. Copy all joins the title, description, and comma-separated tags with blank lines. This page does not fetch subtitles or a spoken transcript.
